Second story takes shape on project to rebuild & enlarge Rockwell Elementary
The new Rockwell Elementary building has leveled up! The second story is taking shape with the wall panels being installed in the south classroom pods and progressing towards the north side of the building and gymnasium.

At Rockwell Elementary, creativity is thriving thanks to fifth grader Ishanth Maheshwaran, whose original card game, Battle Beasts, has become one of the most popular activities in the school’s Extended Day program.

The November 2025 Construction Update from the Rebuild & Enlarge project at Rockwell Elementary shares that the new school is taking shape - with exterior and interior walls being installed.

Over the summer, construction teams made progress on the project to rebuild and enlarge Rockwell Elementary. This project is funded by the 2022 Building Excellence Capital Construction Levy approved by voters.

Over the summer, construction teams made progress on three major projects for the 2025-26 school year: rebuilding and enlarging Rockwell Elementary, and additions at Eastlake High School (EHS) and Redmond High School (RHS). These projects are funded by the 2022 Building Excellence Capital Construction Levy approved by voters.
