Here's how it works: We wanted to actually "read" across America.
So we are challenging students to read every day in class. Classrooms are tracking their reading minutes.
Each minute = miles traveled.
 

2024 Read Across America week was a smashing success. Students read a total of 3,581 minutes (=miles traveled) throughout the week,
which easily completed our road trip from Redmond Washington to New York City, New York. At the end of our week of reading, we celebrated with an all-school popcorn party! Thank you to Regal Theaters of Bella Bottega for donating the popcorn,
and all our wonderful parent volunteers for coming in, to bag popcorn. Until next year, Read, Read, Read!
